Hello WGSS Families!

On TUESDAY JUNE 18TH, the PAC will be hosting the annual luncheon for all the teachers and staff at WGSS.  It is an event the staff all look forward to!  Many of you have helped in the past, and we are so grateful for that.   For all of you who are new to high school, we are hopeful that you will find this event an opportunity to give back and say thanks to those who spend each day teaching, guiding, and helping our teens!

Don't worry, this is a really easy event to be involved in.  All we need from you is a donation of a food item for this delicious buffet.  A salad, an appetizer, a tray of sandwiches, a hot dish, whatever works for you.....And all you need to do is drop it off at the cafeteria or the school office by no later than 10:00am Tuesday, June 18th.  PLEASE NOTE SCHOOL IS NOT OFFICIALLY IN SESSION THAT DAY, SO KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN ARRANGING TO DROP FOOD OFF.  IF IT CAN KEEP OVERNIGHT IN THE FRIDGE OR FREEZER, YOU CAN MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO DROP OFF AN EARLIER DAY.  Many hands make light work and we will be feeding about 150 people, so we need MANY dishes.  You don't even have to stress about it being homemade, there are many easy items that can be picked up ready-made.  A few years ago there was a group of Korean moms who came to the school and cooked some amazing dishes that the staff just loved.  We no longer have their contact info, but I can tell you the teachers have really enjoyed any ethnic dishes that have come in, sushi, Asian dishes, Thai, Italian, anything.....wraps, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, fresh and healthy dishes or even those that aren't so healthy, they love it all!

PLEASE HAVE FOOD ITEMS READY TO SERVE, IN THE DISH IT CAN BE SERVED IN.  IF IT NEEDS WARMING, ETC. PLEASE PROVIDE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS.  IF YOU WANT YOUR DISH BACK BE SURE TO LABEL IT AND YOUR DISH CAN BE FOUND IN THE OFFICE AFTER THE LUNCHEON.

Of course, if you have more time, we would LOVE your help on that day, setting the tables, laying out the food, or even just coming when it's done to help clean-up.  An hour or two on that day is all we would need. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT....
